Senior Engineer — Legacy Comprehension
Full-time or contract · Remote (Europe timezones)
Read code nobody left to explain, and turn it into specifications and tests that someone else can build against.
What week one looks like: Week one you are reading a fifteen-year-old CFML template with no tests and writing down what it actually does. If that sounds like the interesting part rather than the chore, this is your role.
ApplyMigration Engineer — TypeScript / Node
Full-time or contract · Remote (Europe timezones)
Port recovered behaviour into modern TypeScript, route by route, with the legacy application live the whole time.
What week one looks like: You will spend as much time on characterisation tests and response diffing as on the port itself. We do not merge a route until it provably matches.
ApplyTechnical Writer — Specifications
Part-time or contract · Remote
Turn recovered business rules into documents a client can challenge. The spec is the deliverable; the code is a build artifact.
What week one looks like: You will write for two audiences at once — an engineer who has to implement it and a business owner who has to confirm it is right.
ApplyEngineer — Verification Tooling
Full-time · Remote (Europe timezones)
Build the shadow-traffic, response-diffing and coverage tooling that lets us prove a migration did not change behaviour.
What week one looks like: This is the part of the method that makes the rest credible. If you have opinions about how to prove two systems behave identically, we want them.
